Emergency Medical Services

Overview

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital provides expert care round-the-clock for patients in critical and life-threatening situations. We have a modern high-tech 20-bed facility with highly trained clinical and non-clinical staff.

Our care protocols follow international standards and are regularly audited for quality using key metrics, such as patient satisfaction, time to first assessment, follow-up visits within 72 hours, and treatment outcomes. Our specialists are prepared for every emergency, including cardiac arrests, sepsis, shock, trauma, poisoning, mass casualties, and high-risk conditions, such as major heart attacks and stroke.

In addition to patient care, our department actively contributes to shaping emergency preparedness, public health planning, EMS research, and strategic governance—helping build a safer, more responsive healthcare system. As an NBE-accredited centre for specialty training, we are also committed to advancing emergency medicine through education and mentorship.

Through continuous national and international collaborations, we remain committed to offering best-in-class emergency care while ensuring that every patient receives personalised, timely treatment when it matters most.
