The Department of Urology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre is a leading centre for comprehensive, advanced urological care. Our department treats a full range of conditions including loss of bladder control, kidney stones, urinary tract infections, cancers, male infertility, and more. It is one of India’s major referral centres providing world-class care through a multidisciplinary and personalised approach. Our team of highly specialised urologists is supported by cutting-edge technology, including the state-of-the-art DaVinci Xi Surgical Robot and Maharashtra’s first MRI Fusion Prostate Biopsy system.

The department has been at the forefront of innovation, having performed one of the first robot-assisted radical prostatectomies (RARPs) in South Mumbai. Our specialists frequently collaborate with renowned international urologists to bring global standards of care to our patients. Robotic surgery for prostate, renal, and bladder cancers
Advanced renal cancer surgery, such as robotic partial nephrectomy, where large complex kidney tumours are removed while sparing the kidney.
Robotic (keyhole) surgery, where tiny instruments controlled by a robot are used through small cuts to perform complex urological procedures with high precision.
Laser prostate surgery, where a high-powered laser is used to remove overgrown prostate tissue, helping patients pass urine more easily.
Laparoscopic urology (keyhole), where surgery is done through small cuts using a camera and thin instruments to treat conditions like kidney or prostate problems, often with quicker recovery and less pain.
Kidney transplants
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), a minimally invasive method of breaking kidney stones.
Prosthetic urology surgery, which involves placing medical devices such as penile implants or artificial urinary sphincters to help patients with erectile dysfunction or urinary incontinence.
Reconstructive urology, which involves repairing or rebuilding parts of the urinary tract or genitals that are damaged due to birth defects, injury, or disease.
