Cardiology Home Care Centres Institute of Cardiac Sciences Cardiology Overview The Department of Cardiology at the Sir H. N. Foundation Reliance Hospital offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services for various heart conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart attack and failure, and heart valve disorders. The department houses a 24/7 cardiac emergency interventional team, diverse structural cardiac intervention techniques, and equipment treatment facilities with highly trained doctors, nurses, and support staff qualified to provide top-of-the-line care. Both our non-interventional and interventional cardiology units are equipped with cutting-edge technology, making us one of the few centres in India to have such technology. Notably, we are the leading centre in the city and region for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR/TAVI), a non-surgical valve replacement procedure that offers advanced care for patients with severe aortic stenosis. We understand the importance of patient-centric care, ensuring that informed, evidence-based decisions regarding your heart health are taken for your care at every step of the way.Location: Level 1, Tower BuildingTimings: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Request a call back Fill in the details below and our advisor will get in touch with you in the next 24 hours Name * Email * Mobile * Enquire For * Location * I consent to receive communications and share my personal data, as per the Terms & Conditions * Captcha Get new captcha! Our Services Technology & Infrastructure Conditions We Treat The Department of Cardiology provides some of the most cutting-edge diagnostics and interventions for disorders of the heart and blood vessels from preventative care to disease treatment. Our services include:Diagnostic servicesElectrocardiography (ECG/EKG): A non-invasive test in which electrodes are placed on the skin to detect the electrical signals of the heart.Echocardiography: a non-invasive ultrasound test that creates real-time images of the heart to assess its structure and function.Transthoracic Echocardiogram (2D and 3D Echo)Trans-Oesophageal Echocardiogram (2D and 3D TEE)Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram (DSE)Exercise Stress EchocardiogramContrast EchocardiogramHolter Monitor Test: A portable ECG device (Holter monitor) that continuously measures the heart activity is used.Treadmill Test (TMT) / Exercise Stress Test: A non-invasive procedure used to diagnose heart issues by subjecting the patient to physical stress (such as running on a treadmill) and monitoring the changes in blood flow and electrical activity of the heart.Tilt Table Test: A non-invasive procedure used to diagnose the cause of dizziness or fainting by making the patient lie on a table that is slowly tilted to the vertical position; the changes in heart rate and blood pressure are monitored.24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoringComprehensive cardiac health check-up packages Interventional cardiology servicesCoronary Angiography: Examination of blockages in the coronary arteries using a catheter, injection of a contrast agent (die), and X rays.Coronary Angioplasty: Widening of blocked/narrow coronary arteries after angiography.Coronary Rotablation: A minimally invasive procedure whereby a drill with a diamond-tipped burr is inserted into the coronary arteries; this drill rotates at high speeds, grinding the calcified plaques and ultimately, eliminating blockages in the arteries.Coronary Intravascular Ultrasound: A catheter equipped with an ultrasound probe is inserted within the coronary arteriesCoronary Fractional Flow Reserve Measurement (FFR): FFR measures the degree of narrowing in the coronary arteries on the basis of the pressure difference between the normal blood flow and the narrowed artery.Right Heart Catheterisation: An invasive procedure used to measure the blood pressure and flow in the right side of the heart and lungs.Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Insertion: An IABP is a mechanical device that inflates a balloon within the aorta when the heart is at rest (between beats) and deflates this balloon when the heart contracts. This device supports cardiac function and enhances blood flow.Pericardiocentesis: Draining fluid from the sac that covers the heart (pericardial sac); fluid buildup can compress the heart, affecting its function. Electrophysiology (EP) servicesElectrophysiology Studies (Diagnostic): Insertion of a catheter into a blood vessel guided to the heart and the measurement of the heart’s electrical signals to detect any abnormalities/irregularities.Radiofrequency Ablation: Use of radiowaves to selectively eliminate specific regions in the heart and correct irregularities.Pacemaker Implantation: A battery-powered device (pacemaker) is surgically placed under the chest to regulate the heart’s rhythm.Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Implantation: ICDs continuously monitor heart rhythms and when required (presence of irregularities), electrical pulses that serve to restore the normal rhythm of the heart.Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT): Insertion of a specialised pacemaker to ensure that the timing of the ventricles is coordinated. Structural cardiac intervention servicesTranscatheter Valve Replacement: In this procedure, a catheter is inserted into a blood vessel to reach the heart and a replacement valve is placed at the site of the diseased valve via this catheter for aortic and pulmonary or mitral valve replacement.Balloon Aortic Valvotomy: Insertion of a catheter with a balloon into the aorta through a blood vessel and inflation of the balloon; this opens the narrowed valve.Left Atrial Appendage Closure: Closure of the left atrial appendage, a small sac in the left atrium that is known to serve as a common site for blood clots; this decreases the risk of clot formation and stroke.Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) Closure: PFO closure is performed to prevent blood flow between the heart's atrial chambers, reducing the risk of clot formation and stroke, in patients with a foramen ovale. Non-invasive cardiology unit: This unit is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including advanced ECG machines, Holter monitors, treadmill test systems, ambulatory BP monitors, and tilt table testing equipment.Echocardiography: The department also features state-of-the-art echocardiography machines, offering a full range of both basic and advanced echocardiography services to ensure comprehensive cardiovascular care.Catheterisation lab: We have a fully integrated, state-of-the-art catheterisation lab (cath lab), along with a hybrid cath lab and advanced hybrid cath lab operating rooms. Pressurewire technology: We have pressure wire technology for measuring fractional flow reserve (FFR), rotablation technology for complex angioplasties with excessive calcification, and state-of-the-art intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) analysis systems for coronary arteries.Cardiac intervention portfolio: Our interventional cardiology unit is proud to be one of the few centres in India with a diverse structural cardiac intervention portfolio. We are supported by a team of internationally trained, highly experienced structural heart disease interventionists who provide cutting-edge services, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR/TAVI), a non-surgical valve replacement procedure for patients with severe aortic stenosis.Electrophysiology: Our hospital is equipped with next-generation electrophysiology (EP) technology, enabling us to provide advanced treatments, such as pacemaker implantation, intracardiac defibrillator (ICD) implantation, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), and radio-frequency ablation for complex arrhythmias, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients. Heart failure: Inability of the heart to pump enough blood to meet the body’s oxygen needs.Myocardial infarction (heart attack): Damage to the heart muscle due to a decrease in/stoppage of blood flow.Disorders of heart valves (aortic, mitral, tricuspid, and pulmonary valves): Thickening/stiffening of the valves, leakage of blood resulting from the valves not closing tightly, or malformation of the valves.
