The Tower

The SOMATOM Force is the first fast 4D Dual Source CT scanner in the world. It contains two detector arrays and two X-ray sources for simultaneous use. The optimal positioning of the two X-ray sources enables the user to achieve spectral image information at high temporal resolutions. Unlike conventional CT scanners, the SOMATOM Force can perform high-resolution ultrafast scanning, requiring only low doses of radiation and minimal amounts of the contrast agent.

It can scan obese, tall, children, elderly, critical, and unconscious patients without sedation. It allows the scanning of patients while they breathe freely. Hence, motion artefacts, which can make it difficult to evaluate the results and can even lead to misdiagnosis, are minimised with this scanner.

It has an unmatched rotation speed, scanning an entire heart in approximately 150 milliseconds and an entire patient from head to toe in less than 20 seconds.

The GE SIGNA Premier 3T MRI Scanner installed at the Reliance Foundation Hospital is the most powerful 3T wide-bore MRI scanner on the market and was the first system installed in India.
