Our department is equipped with India’s first and the most advanced ETHOS linear accelerator with SGRT. It is the only facility in Maharashtra offering Adaptive Radiotherapy, in which individual patients are provided highly customised radiotherapy each day depending on the status of the tumour and internal organs.

• ETHOS adaptive linear accelerator with SGRT: This ground-breaking device welcomes patients to a new era of cancer treatment. ETHOS places us at the forefront of the revolutionary adaptive intelligence-based precision radiotherapy technology. This device offers the following advantages:
  • Customised treatment for every patient every day: The creation of personalised treatment plans based on the individual’s unique anatomy and changes in the tumour over time.
  • Enhanced tumour-control precision, accuracy, and minimal side effects: Precise tumour targeting, even when the tumour moves due to the patient’s breathing or motion of the organs. This ensures optimal treatment, improved outcomes, and minimal side effects.
  • Faster treatment and better outcomes: The patient’s time on the machine is reduced, making the process more comfortable.
  • Integrated tumour tracking daily: Improved tumour visibility.

• TrueBeam STx linear accelerator with SGRT: Our department launched India’s first ever most advanced TrueBeam STx linear accelerator in 2015. This device specialises in providing high-precision radiation treatments, especially for children. This linear accelerator is also equipped with SGRT, making it India’s first-ever SGRT facility.

• Varian brachytherapy GammaMedplus iX: This device is one of the best for performing brachytherapy. It possesses precise tumour-targeting ability and accuracy and has been designed as an easy-to-use system, considering patientcomfort.

• Radiotherapy quality assurance (QA): We follow strict guidelines to ensure the QA of the equipment and the QA of each patient’s radiotherapy treatment plan. In the case of adaptive radiotherapy, the QA is performed every day, and a new adaptive plan is designed. Thus, we ensure that every radiation treatment plan is strictly regulated and checked.
