Bio:

Dr. Mayur H. Patel is the Mentor of Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medical Services at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. With an impressive academic background and over three decades of experience, he was instrumental in laying the foundation of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. 

Dr. Patel is a dedicated Educator with a deep passion for teaching. He has been recognised by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and the National Board of Examinations in Critical Care. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in training a new generation of intensivists, imparting his extensive knowledge and expertise. Dr. Patel has actively contributed to national and international conferences, promoting critical care as a specialised field. 

He has several publications to his credit in reputed national and international journals. He has co-/authored 32 journal publications and 15 abstracts, showcasing his commitment to advancing the field. Additionally, he has written a book and contributed to 5 textbook chapters, further solidifying his role as a thought leader in critical care. 

Dr. Patel’s areas of expertise span general critical care, chronic critical illness, and geriatric care, with a particular focus on managing complex cases, quality improvement initiatives, training, and research. Through his unwavering dedication to both patient care and academic excellence, Dr. Patel continues to shape the future of critical care and emergency medicine, making lasting contributions to the healthcare community.
