Our Kidney Transplant Programme is backed by cutting-edge medical infrastructure designed to ensure the best outcomes. We have a state-of-the-art Transplant ICU with specially trained staff to manage all kinds of complications and post-operative care.

Robotic-assisted kidney transplant surgery: This is an advanced, minimally invasive technique that uses a surgical robot for enhanced precision and control. used for both kidney donors and recipients. It is used both for kidney removal in donors and kidney transplantation in recipients, especially in complex cases. Benefits for the donor include:

  • Smaller incisions, leading to less post-operative discomfort
  • Faster recovery and shorter hospital stays
  • Lower risk of complications compared to open surgery
  • Minimal blood loss during the procedure
  • High accuracy, especially beneficial in obese patients or those with challenging anatomy
The Tower

Kidney transplant may be required in cases of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), where the kidneys have lost nearly all function. ESRD can result from a variety of underlying conditions, and transplant becomes necessary when other treatments like medication or dialysis are no longer sufficient.

Some of the common conditions we treat include:

  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Long-term kidney damage that gradually reduces kidney function.
  • Diabetic Kidney Disease: Kidney damage resulting from long-standing or poorly controlled diabetes.
  • Glomerulonephritis: Inflammation of the kidney’s filtering units, impairing their ability to remove waste.
