Bio:

Dr. Maulik Parekh is the Head of the TAVR and Structural Heart Programme and Section Co-ordinator at the Department of Cardiology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He graduated from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. Thereafter, he received his M.D. (General Medicine) from Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, Gujarat and D.N.B. (Cardiology) from the P. D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Structural Heart Interventions at the Gottsegen Gyorgy Hungarian Institute of Cardiology, Budapest, where he received extensive training in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). 

Dr. Parekh has performed 800+ TAVI/TAVRs, 2000+ diagnostic coronary angiographies, and 1000+ angioplasties. He is a Proctor for TAVR and has been actively teaching this procedure across the country. 

Dr. Parekh is a Founder-Member of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography. He has authored several journal publications and book chapters. He has also presented at many national and international conferences.
