Bio:

Dr. Talha Meeran is the Additional Director of Heart Failure Program at the Department of Cardiology, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. 

Dr. Meeran graduated from Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, in 2009. Thereafter, he did his M.D. (Internal Medicine)—including residency—at Mount Sinai Hospital, John Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA (2014). He did his fellowships in General Cardiovascular Medicine, Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant Cardiology, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Mechanical Circulatory Support at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, USA from 2014 to 2018. Dr. Meeran was the Chief Cardiology Fellow at the same hospital from 2016 to 2017.

Dr. Meeran is India’s only American Board-Certified Cardiologist who provides post- transplant care for heart transplant recipients and patients with artificial heart pumps (LVAD). He also holds a Level III certification from the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) for performing and interpreting echocardiograms.

Dr. Meeran is an Executive Committee Member of the Society for Heart Failure and Transplant (SfHFT), India, and the Co-Chair of the Heart–Lung Transplant Sub-Committee of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee (ZTCC), Mumbai. He was awarded the ‘Profiles in Excellence Award’ by the Maryland Chapter of American College of Physicians in 2014. Dr. Meeran has co-authored 8 research and 11 conference publications.
