Bio:

Dr. Ravi Gupta is a Consultant at the Department of Cardiac Sciences at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Dr. Gupta graduated from S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur, in 1989 and completed his post-graduation at R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur. He is a leading Cardiologist of India with over two decades of experience in interventional and non-interventional cardiology. He has performed more than 10,000 coronary angioplasties, including complex cases such as left main, chronic total occlusion (CTO), bifurcation and trifurcation cases, rotational atherectomy (ROTA), intravascular lithotripsy (IVL), chronic kidney disease (CKD), high risk surgical cases, and low ejection fraction (poor heart pumping) cases with minimal complication rates.

Dr. Gupta has special interest in peripheral interventions and was trained at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, USA. He has performed more than 3000 peripheral angioplasties, including procedures for diabetic foot ulcers and erectile dysfunction.

He was trained at Germany for TAVI (non-surgical aortic valve replacement) and is proficient in all types of device closures of birth holes such as atrial septal defect (ASD), ventricular septal defect (VSD), patent foramen ovale (PFO), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), and all types of implants such as pacemakers, AlCD, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT-D).

He has published several papers in national and international journals. His deep love for music reflects in frequent stage shows of singing and playing multiple musical instruments. Dr. Gupta is a national level painter and published a book “MAD SCENE” on Medical Humour in 2003.

  • Best Artist Award at all India competition at AIIMS, Delhi, in 1989
  • Award of Appreciation from the Governor of West Bengal in 2001 at Kolkata for designing the logo of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography (IAE)
