Dr. Mangesh G. Patil is the Head of Minimal Invasive Urology and Endourology at the Department of Urology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. He obtained his D.N.B. from P. D. Hinduja Hospital (2008) after completing M.S. (General Surgery) from GMCH, Nagpur. He trained at the Rosewell Park Cancer Institute, New York in robotic surgery.
Dr. Patil has held various positions, such as Registrar in general surgery and clinical associate at many institutions. He serves as a consultant at many renowned hospitals, such as the Breach Candy and Fortis. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Asia Pacific International Award for Health Excellence in 2014.
Dr. Patil has performed more than 6000 urological procedures and is actively involved in endourology and prostate, kidney, and bladder laparoscopic and keyhole surgeries. He has performed 290 robotic surgeries, including prostatectomies, nephrectomies, cystectomies, and radial hysterectomies and more than 1200 robot-assisted surgeries. He also specialises in laser TURPs, renal transplantation, and robotic surgeries for prostate and renal cancers. He is an officer proctor for Intuitive Surgical, USA.
Dr. Patil has delivered many lectures as an invited faculty and speaker at many training workshops and conferences. He has published over 30 articles and presented his work in national and international conferences.
