Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Home About Us Our Hospital Our Technology Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Overview The Rehabilitation Department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital is equipped with a wide range of advanced technologies designed to enhance recovery and maximize patient outcomes. From robotic-assisted therapy to innovative diagnostic and training devices, we integrate tools that support personalized, intensive rehabilitation programs. These technologies enable precise, data-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, helping to accelerate progress and restore function more effectively.By combining state-of-the-art equipment with expert clinical care, we offer patients the best possible environment for recovery—whether they are regaining mobility after injury, managing chronic conditions, or improving overall physical performance. This commitment to innovation not only improves patient experience and results but also positions our center as a leader in delivering high-tech, evidence-based rehabilitation solutions. Lokomat Hocoma Lower Limb Rehabilitation Robot The Lokomat is a robotic exoskeleton system developed by Hocoma that aids in the rehabilitation of individuals with lower limb impairments. It combines robotic assistance and a knowledge platform to provide personalised gait training and therapy, promoting improved mobility and recovery for patients. The robot-aided preparation gadget upholds patients in a parachute saddle while moving their legs on a treadmill. It makes a smooth, monotonous movement that may help animate spaces of the spinal rope, which is thought to control the capacity to walk.Effective Gait Training: Robot-assisted therapy enables effective and intensive training by providing a high number of task-specific repetitions, which is an essential factor underlying neuroplasticity and improved functional outcomes. Pooled data from 70 clinical studies published in peer-reviewed journals, including 39 randomised controlled trials, show that Lokomat training improves clinical outcomes related to walking abilities and functional mobility.Ensuring Physiological Gait Achievement: The physiological gait pattern is ensured by the individually adjustable exoskeleton combined with the patented dynamic body weight support system.Motivating Patient Challenge: During rehabilitation, patients need to be challenged in their present individual capabilities and beyond. Speed, body weight support, and robotic support can be adjusted to shape the intensity of the therapy and adapt to the patient’s individual needs.Increased Efficiency: The Lokomat relieves the therapist from manually supporting the patient while walking, allowing therapists to focus on the patient and the therapy.
