Dr. Vikrant S. Pawar is a Consultant at the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Pawar is a Teacher involved in Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM)-sponsored educational programmes (Associate Teacher). He has special interest in Neurocritical Care and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (FECMO). Dr. Pawar’s special areas of interest include ventilator weaning, patient nutrition, and efficient rehabilitation.

Dr. Pawar has published an article, “Sedation Practices during VV-ECMO in Indian Scenario: A Retrospective Survey” (Indian J ECMO 2023;1(3-4):99-103) and a chapter in ISCCM textbook (2024 update) ‘Proning on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation.’ He has also published an abstract, ‘Comparison of Inhalational Anaesthetic Agents in Donor Hepatectomy in LDLT’ in 2015 in the annual journal of International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS).
