Dr. Shaival Chandalia is a Consultant Endocrinologist & Diabetologist at the Department of Endocrinology, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.
After graduating with distinction in Anatomy and Biochemistry from Topiwala National Medical College and Nair Hospital, Dr. Chandalia completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Hospital, USA in 2004. He was awarded the postgraduate degree of Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005. He further completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, USA from 2007–2008.
Dr. Chandalia has conducted several Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programmes as a subject expert and has authored several journal articles. He has also contributed chapters to Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) textbook of Diabetes, which provides an Indian perspective to the field of Diabetes. He has assisted in authoring educational material for patients with diabetes. This includes a chapter in a book for patients called ‘Conquest of Diabetes by Diet and Exercise’.
