Dr. Priyanka Udawat is a Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Preventive Healthcare, and Wellness at the Department of Gastroenterology & GI Endoscopy at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. She graduated from the Coimbatore Medical College, Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, in 2007, and subsequently earned her D.N.B. (Paediatrics) from Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, an associate hospital of Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, in 2012. She pursued a Fellowship in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Nutrition and Liver Transplantation from Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon, India (2013–14), has additional training in Yogatherapy (2016), and also completed a course on Allergy and Asthma from Bengaluru, in 2022. She also holds a Diplomate of International Board Lifestyle Medicine (Dip. IBLM, 2022) from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Udawat worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Paediatric Medicine and Paediatric Gastroenterology at Sir Padampat Mother and Child Health Institute, S.M.S Medical College, Jaipur (2014–18). She served as the PHC Medical Officer and Incharge at Govindgarh , Rajasthan in 2008. Dr. Udawat has also worked at the Institute of Digestive Liver Care, Mumbai (2019–22) and at Surya Mother and Child Hospital, NH SRCC Children hospital (Paediatric Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation), and BIDS, Global Hospital (Adult Gastroenterology, Lifestyle Medicine, and GI wellness).
Dr. Udawat currently serves as the Director-Research at the Indian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (2023–24), where she spearheads research projects on disease reversal using the lifestyle medicine pillars, including a plant-based diet, physical activity, sleep, substance abuse, emotional wellbeing, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing. She is also actively involved in reversing chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and heart disease through strategic lifestyle modification using evidence-based approaches. She has authored several publications in the field of gastroenterology and endosonography.
Dr. Udawat serves as an adjunct faculty member for the MPH Lifestyle Medicine programme at the James Lind Institute, Switzerland, where she delivers online lectures on lifestyle medicine.
