Dr. Nitin M. Chavan is the Chief of Laboratory at the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is an empanelled International Lead Assessor, having successfully completed the International Lead Assessor course as per ISO 15189:2012 (organised by AERSSC and FQI in Kathmandu, Nepal; 1st to 5th February 2018). Dr. Chavan was promoted to the post of National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (N.A.B.L.) Lead Assessor in May 2017 and has successfully completed several N.A.B.L. audits. Additionally, he has been empanelled as an N.A.B.L. Technical Assessor for Haematology and Clinical Pathology since April 2011 (Assessor ID: 1516) and has conducted over 100 N.A.B.L. audits across India.
Dr. Chavan also completed the Laboratory Assessors Course as per ISO 15189:2007, (organised by N.A.B.L., New Delhi) in April 2011. He participated in an Orientation Programme as per ISO 15189:2012 and the Assessor Conclave organised by N.A.B.L. in October 2013 in Mumbai and underwent a 4-day training on Laboratory Management and Internal Audit as per ISO 15189:2007 in November 2009.
