Dr. Imran Hamzawala is a Consultant at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is a BSCCP (British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology) Colposcopist.
Dr. Hazawala completed M.B.B.S. from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai University, India. He then pursued his postgraduate studies in London, where he received MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr. Hazawala is skilled in robotic surgery and open and laparoscopic gynaecological and gynaec-oncological procedures. He has undergone rigorous robotic surgical training in the UK, and has been certified by Institut de Recherche contre les Cancers de l'Appareil Digestif) (ICRAD, Strasbourg, France) for using the Da Vinci Surgical System.
His extensive training in Robotic Surgery has made him a national expert in Robotic Surgery. He also completed an Advanced Communication Skills Course in the UK, for comprehensive consultation and treatment planning for patients. He mentors and trains other doctors and nursing staff in this highly specialised field.
Dr Hamzawala is a specialist in colposcopy and received a notable certification and training in colposcopy from the British Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology, London. He is also highly experienced in the treatment of vulval diseases. He has over 14 years of working experience in the UK and was a Consultant at Croydon University Hospital, London, before returning to Mumbai, India.
Dr. Hamzawala has received many awards in the UK and India. He has published many studies and written chapters in textbooks. He is a national proctor for robotic gynaecological and gynaec-oncological surgeries in India. He is also an Official Scientific Speaker for Intuitive Surgical in India.
