Dr. Harshad Parekh is a Consultant at the Department of Neurosurgery at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Parekh specialises in minimally invasive surgery, micro-neurosurgery, and spine surgery. After completing his M.S., he joined as a Senior House Officer in Neurosurgery at Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, where he was actively involved in teaching and training of budding neurosurgeons. During his training, he assisted in all the major neurosurgical procedures and operations and soon after, he cleared M.Ch. (Neurosurgery).
Later, he joined the Royal Preston Hospital, Preston, UK, for further training in the field of microvascular decompression, stereotactic radiosurgery, anterior cervical micro-neurosurgery, and skull base and paediatric neurosurgery. After gaining further expertise at UK and at Universal Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland, he returned to India and joined Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals as a Lecturer and Consultant Neurosurgeon. He is now actively involved in research and teaching D.N.B. students. Dr. Parekh has published various papers and conducted research projects in his area of expertise.
