Dr. Eileen Canday is the Head of the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.
She is an expert in handling Critical Care, Oncology, Renal Nutrition, Bariatric Nutrition, Weight Loss and Nutrigenetics. A certified Diabetes Educator, she holds professional qualifications from the International Diabetes Federation and is an active member of the Association of Diabetes Educators.
Her specialisation in Paediatric Oncology Nutritionist, includes a fellowship from Tata Memorial Hospital (SIOP), and is a trained Oncology Nutrition Specialist. Over the years, she has worked with numerous patients undergoing treatment or in remission, helping them achieve better nutritional and health outcomes.
Dr. Canday is a Registered Dieticians (RD) on the National Board and serves as the Hon. Jt. Secretary to the IAPEN (Indian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) Mumbai Chapter. IAPEN connects with Global organisations like American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), European (ESPEN, BAPEN), Australian (AusPEN), Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Society of Asia (PENSA) and South African (SASPEN) societies.
As an avid researcher, she has published extensively in national and international scientific publications, and serves as a peer reviewer for UGC-recognised research in National and international journals. She is also on the Board of Studies (BOS ) of various autonomous educational institutes.
She has contributed to nutrition literature, authoring chapters in books and nutrition manuals, and frequently delivers lectures and appears in television and newspaper interviews on nutrition related topics.
A sought-after speaker, Dr. Canday has presented at numerous National and International level platforms and conferences for professional groups of doctors, dieticians, students, such as IFSCO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders), COREP, IAOH, Reliance Life Sciences and presented a multitude of research papers and posters at these conferences over the years.
