Dr. Bharat Dalvi is a Consultant at the Department of Paediatric Cardiac Sciences at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He received his M.D. (Internal Medicine) and D.M. (Cardiology) along with Fellowships in Paediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital, Boston, and Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London, and Cleveland Clinic, USA. He is also an International Medical Scholar of the ECFMG (1993), PN Berry Scholar (1994), Fulbright Scholar (1997), and Cleveland Clinic International Scholar (1997).
Dr. Dalvi is a renowned internationally for his pioneering innovation of balloon-assisted closure for very large ASDs and transcatheter interventions in neonates and infants. He has a distinguished career spanning nearly 4 decades and is one of the tallest leaders in the field in this part of the world.
Dr. Dalvi is the former President of Paediatric Cardiac Society of India (2008–09). He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Annals of Paediatric Cardiology (2008–10).
He has authored more than 100 publications in national and international journals. He has delivered more than 200 invited lectures/prestigious orations at national and international conferences and is a much-invited faculty member at symposia and workshops across the globe.
