Bio:

Dr. Ankita Pramanick has worked as a Consultant Physiotherapist at the Department of Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, since September 2014. 

Dr. Pramanick completed her Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy and Master’s in Clinical and Sports Biomechanics at Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences, Manipal University. Owing to her keen interest in 3D analyses of human movement, Dr. Pramanick pursued further specialisation in Clinical Biomechanics at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen UK. She also holds certifications in Neuromuscular Dry Needling, Kinesio Taping, and Dynamic Taping. 

Prior to joining our hospital, Dr. Pramanick worked independently in private clinics, providing expertise in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. 

Dr. Pramanick has extensive experience in conducting detailed 3D gait and motion analyses in the laboratory in patients with: 

  • neurological conditions, such as cerebral palsy, stroke, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Parkinson’s disease
  • orthopaedic conditions, including lower back pain, walking disabilities due to post-injury/post-surgical/biomechanical changes in lower limbs
  • sports-specific movements, especially runners 

Dr. Pramanick is also skilled in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, with vast experience in manual therapy, myofascial-release techniques, kinesiology and dynamic taping, and neuromuscular dry needling. 

On the academic front, Dr. Pramanick has published articles in several national journals and is proactively involved in research work.
